Earl Richard John King, 79, of Coopersburg, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest after a lengthy illness.  He was the husband of Carol (Gross) King.

Earl was born in Antigo, WI to the late Charles Joseph King and Teresa Gusta (Pankratz) of Phlox, WI.  As a boy he worked at Schultz Creamery and after graduating from Antigo high school he joined the United States Navy.  He retired after 21.5 years of service and went on to work at Kmart, Purelator Carrier, the United States Post Office (DMU at Brown Printing).  He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and was an active member of Chestnut Hill Church UCC of Coopersburg, PA.

Earl was preceded in death by his son, Darrell John; sister, Arcelia and brother Lee Allan.  In addition to his wife of 56 years he is survived by his daughters, Andrea L., wife of Jesse Martin of Colora, MD and Barbara A., wife of Richard DeFiore, Jr. of Coopersburg, PA; sister, Loana Heinzen of Merrill, WI; grandchildren, Alex, Brandon, Heather, Bradley, Mina and Sam; great-granddaughter, Ava Rain and a host of nieces, nephews other loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held and lead by Pastor Christian Cryer Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 12:00pm at Chestnut Hill Church UCC 6870 Chestnut Hill Church Rd. Coopersburg, PA.
