Dorothy May Simmons, 94, passed away April 1, 2006 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. Born in Rockport, Carbon County, PA she was a daughter of the late Grant and Dora (Adler) Hittinger. Dorothy was a very active member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and a loving wife to the late Harold A Simmons, Sr. whom she married on August 30, 1937.
Survivors: Sons, Harold A Simmons, JR. husband of Linda of Bethlehem, and Kent D Simmons husband of Mai-Lin of Springfield, PA; sister, Grace Hensel of Weatherly, PA; brother Gerald Hittinger of Weatherly and 3 grandchildren Kyle, Justin and Tiffany. Services: 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Union Cemetery on Main Street in Weatherly, PA.
