Dorothy E. Schaeffer
Dorothy E. Schaeffer, 93 of Bethlehem, passed away on March 30th in VNA St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Lilly) Schwartz; she was the husband of the late Cyrus W. Schaeffer for many years. Dorothy was a member of Christ UCC Bethlehem. She was an avid bowler; she participated in many bowling leagues & tournaments around the area & US. She was a member of the Bethlehem Area Bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed reading, dogs, craftwork, and the outdoors. During her life, she traveled extensively and especially enjoyed ship cruises.
Survivors: Daughter: Carol and her husband Dennis J. Weaver of Cogan Station, PA, Companion Richard Sigley with whom she resided. Cousin; Bernice Martin of Bethlehem. Grandson; Daniel T. Weaver of Williamsport, PA. Dorothy was predeceased by a brother James Schwartz.
