Doris M. Turner (nee Schmeltzle) died May 26 in St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born April 11, 1929, she was a daughter of Esther (nee Touhey) and H. Frederick Sheler of Bangor.
Doris was predeceased by husband, Paul, in 2001. Doris was a dedicated worker and was employed in many jobs in her lifetime, most recently at K-Mart, Quakertown. Her biggest sense of professional pride came through earning her nurse's license and serving the aged in a private nursing home in Saylorsburg.
