Donald H. Romig Sr., of Coopersburg, passed away on December 30th at the age of 88. He was born in Allentown to the late Charles and Edna (Smith) Romig and was predeceased by his wife Dorothy "Bonnie" (Martin), his son Charles, sisters Jeanette Savacool, Kathleen Snyder, Dorothy Boyer, and brother Leroy Romig. Donald was a veteran of WWII, serving with the Navy where he worked as an aviation electrician. He had worked at the blast furnaces and as an electrician for Bethlehem Steel, Lehigh Division, for 36 years, retiring in 1986. Donald was a member of St Josephs Catholic Church, a sponsor of the P.A.L. Bowling League, bowled for the Fearless Fire Company, was a life time member of the Lower Milford Fire Co., and was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Survivors: Children John C. Romig and wife Joyce, Donald H. Romig Jr. and wife Michelle, Pat Romig and husband Don Lowenthal, Donna Lee and husband Matt Marley Sr. 16 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren.
Services: A visitation will be held at Norcross Weber Funeral Home, in Coopersburg, on Thursday January 3rd from 7-9PM and on Friday January 4th from 8:30-9:30AM to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs Catholic Church, in Limeport, Pa at 10Am. www.weberfuneralhomes.com
