Donald L. Metzgar

Donald L. Metzgar, 81, of Whitehall, died Feb. 4, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Lower Saucon, PA. Born in Paradise Twp., PA, he was a son of the late Charles R and Anna E.(Christman) Metzgar. He was the husband of the late Eva B. (Diefenderfer) Deutsch for over 28 years until her death in 2008. He was employed by Chemical Lehman Tank Line in Nazareth as a Mechanic for over 30 years until retiring. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of the Fullerton Fire Co. and the American Legion, Fullerton Post.

Survivors: Four children, BettyAnn Takacs of Fountain Hill, Nick Lewis of Whitehall, Danny Deutsch of Walnutport, and EvaMarie Deutsch of Whitehall; Sisters, Annamae Miller and Joyce Schoch; Brothers, Kenneth and Harold Metzgar; Nine Grandchildren; Eight Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by a sister, Adelaide Engle and three brothers, Charles, Edward, and James Metzgar.
Services: A viewing from 10:00 - 10:50 AM, with a service at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown. Interment will follow services in Highland Memorial Park, Allentown. (www.weberfuneralhomes.com)
