Dolores Shankweiler passed away in her home on May 10 at the age of 78. Born in Allentown she was a daughter of the late Anne (Ciocco) and Leonard Germano. She was the wife of Charles Shankweiler for many years prior to his passing in 1995. Dolores was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, where she volunteered for 13 yrs. in their school as a teacher's aid. She was also a member of the Sister Pauline Club, and very active in many other church and school activities. Survivors: Sons, Gary and his wife Sharon; Jeffrey and his wife Mary Theresa; daughter, Mary Ann wife of Kevin Scharer; nine grandchildren; brother Michael "Skip" Germano; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Anthony and Michael, and sister Marie Longenbach. Services: Mass in the church, 444 N. Jasper St. Allentown, on Friday 10:30am.
