Denise Lynn Cramsey
Denise Lynn Cramsey, Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer of reality television shows such as "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "School Pride" died November 23, 2010 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA at the age of 41. Born in Allentown, on February 21, 1969; she was a daughter of Mary (Dougherty) Cramsey and the late William F. Cramsey. She was a 1987 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown. She continued her education at the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University graduating in 1990 with a dual major in Economics and Journalism. After school she became a producer for Medstar television until 1998 when she became an executive producer for Banyan Productions. There she created the hit show "Trading Spaces." In 2004, she became an executive producer for "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and continued in her success as an executive producer for Warner Horizon Television and President of Denise Cramsey Television Productions (DCTV). She has won two Emmys and been nominated seven times. She also has one Cable Ace nomination. Denise was very adventurous and creative. She enjoyed hiking, rock climbing, and traveling. She even had the opportunity to trek to Mt. Everest base camp. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.
Survivors: Loving mother, Mary; Fianc, Scott Farquharson and his sons, Will and Jack; Sister, Carolyn Cramsey; Brothers, J. Keith, William, Jr., and Tim Cramsey; maternal grandmother, Margaret (Nikisher) Dougherty; niece, Billie Cramsey; nephews, Nicholas, Kevin, and Nathan Kuti, Ryan and Brandon Cramsey; other relatives and friends.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Dec.2, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, PA. Viewing: 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., Wed., Dec. 1, 2010 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA and 9:30 A.M., Thursday until time of mass at the church. Following the services, interment will be held in Resurrection Cemetery. Services entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. A memorial service for Denise will be held in Los Angeles at a later date.
