Obituary

Surrounded by his family, David M. Larish, of Coopersburg, passed away on April 9 at the age of 70. He was born in Fountain Hill to the late Monroe and Elsie (McCarthy) Larish and was predeceased by his loving wife, of 46 years, Elaine (Fandl) in 2008. David graduated from Liberty High School in 1958, Moravian College in 1962, and Lehigh University in 1966. He was a member of TKE at Moravian College. David then went on to teach for the Parkland School District for 36 years, retiring in 1998. His students knew him as a "Wonderful Warm Human Being " while he taught at the Ironton and Parkway Manor Schools. David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Limeport, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and served with the Marriage Encounter, Marriage Prep Dialogue and Cursillo. He was also a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Gulfport, FL. Survivors: Daughters: Wendy S. Larish of Horsham and Beth Larish-Strauss and husband Thomas of Coopersburg. Son Jeffrey D. and wife Tione of Tucson, Ariz. Brother Richard of Allentown. Six Grandchildren Keryn, Hanna, Luke, Adele, Carmen, and Joseph. Services: A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 13 from 8:30-9:30 am at Norcross Weber Funeral Home, 101 B. North Main Street, Coopersburg. To be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Limeport. A committal service will be held on Saturday April 16 at 11 am at Calvary Cemetery (just behind St. Josephs' Church in Limeport). www.weberfuneralhomes.com Contributions may be made to the church or to the V.N.A.
