Daisy S. Litchko
Daisy S. (Meitzler) Litchko 86, of Allentown, passed away on March 11, 2009. Born in Port of Norwick, Whales, UK. She was the daughter of the late John and Katherine Hughes. Sylvia served honorably as a WAF in the Royal Air Force Communications Division in WWII. She was a war bride then immigrated to the US in 1946. She was the co-founder of Sylvia's Knitwear of Allentown in 1955 & co-founder of Buy-Mar Sportswear Company of Allentown in 1957. Daisy was a member of the ILGW Union & a professional seamstress her entire career. Before her illness, she was an active member of Salem UCC for many years. Her life centered around her family and work.
Survivors: Daughters: Sandra S. Brader & her husband, Larry of Allentown, Priscilla Bowersox & her late husband Alan of Allentown. Son: David Meitzler & his wife Susan of Whitehall. Sisters: Megan & Gwyneth, of Coventry, UK. Brother: Stanley of Coventry, UK Grandchildren: April Brader of St. Petersburg, FL, Todd Bowersox of Whitehall, Denise Brader of Allentown, Keri Bowersox-Fendell of Smithville, PA and Michael Brader of Allentown. 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
