IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Claude
Azar
January 3, 1968 – July 14, 2023
In Loving Memory of Claude
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Claude F. Azar. She was surrounded by her four children as they joined hands in prayer together at her home in Bethlehem as she transitioned to her eternal home into the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 14, 2023.
Claude was born in Amar, Syria on January 3, 1968 to Fouad and the late Lili (Hazeem) Azar. She studied Law at Damascus University for three years and studied Early Childhood Education at NCC. She attended Central Assembly of God in Bethlehem, PA. She will be remembered for many things, including her affinity for gardening, watching movies, taking care of her pets, babysitting, and online shopping but above all her unyielding commitment to her relationship with God. Beyond her devotion to her faith, Claude was a most-dedicated mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She poured everything into selflessly nurturing her family with unwavering support and her relentless desire to instill those eternal values she held dear. Her home was a sanctuary of peace, a place where people felt her warmth and welcome, always filled with laughter and love. She truly marked our hearts forever.
Claude leaves behind a cherished legacy that will continue to impact generations to come. We will always be inspired by her unwavering trust in God's plan and deep-rooted belief in the power of prayer that guided her through life's joys and challenges. She is survived by her father, Fouad Azar; four children, Rochelle Salib Corbett, wife of Tim Corbett, Jessica Salib, Philip Salib, and Daniel Salib; two brothers, Aziz Azar and George Azar; two sisters, Fairouz Koury, wife of Victor Koury, and Loren Hadeed, wife of Russell Hadeed; five nephews, George, Omar, Victor, Fouad, and Justin; one niece, Lily; and many other loving family members from the Salib family and the Syrian community.
While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Claude is now rejoicing in the presence of her Heavenly Father, reunited with loved ones who preceded her, especially her mother Lili. She has fought the good fight, finished the race, and has been called home to receive her eternal reward. Though we will miss her dearly, we celebrate her life and the gift that she was to all of us. In memory of Claude, let us strive to emulate her steadfast faith, love for others, and prayerful spirit. May her example serve as a beacon of light and inspiration, reminding us to live with purpose and to love unconditionally in Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Lehigh Valley Hospital- Neuroscience Institute with "ALS clinic" in the memo line to help other families affected by ALS.
