Christine R. Wickel
Christine R. Wickel, 82, made her final journey to her Lord. She died October 11, 2007 after a short stay at Bethlehem Manor Care 2021, Bethlehem. Prior to this she resided at Bnai Brith Apts. She was the widow of William F. Wickel. Prior to his death in 2001, they had celebrated over 50 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Beatrice (Romig) Reinhard. She graduated from Allen High School in 1943. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for over 40 years. She worked as a waitress throughout the years at Superior, Rube's, Kern's Restaurant, and the Paddock from which she retired.
Survivors: She will be remembered by her loving sister, Lucille Held of Allentown; Daughters, Kathleen "Kay" Kohler of Whitehall and Monica, wife of Maxx Messinger of Thornton, PA; Son, Joseph Wickel, husband of JoanMarie of Whitehall; Grandchildren, Shawn Kohler, husband of Tara of Doylestown, Keith Kohler, husband of Carla of Whitehall, Jacquie, wife of Justin Prather of Harrisonburg, VA, Kelly Kohler of Whitehall, Kira, Owen, and Mia Messinger of Thornton, and Madeline, Olivia, and Dalton Wickel of Whitehall; Great Grandchildren, Aidan and Amelia Kohler of Whitehall, Makayla Kohler of Doylestown, and Nora Prather of Harrisonburg, VA; Nephew, Mark Held; Nieces, Rose Harvilla, Roberta Hower, and Norma Visner.
