Charles R. Zimmerman, Sr., 83, of Whitehall passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at his residence. He was born July 31, 1941, in Coplay, the son of the late Roland E. and Stella (Betz) Zimmerman.

Charles was in the U.S. Navy Reserve for nine years. After his time in the service, he worked for Lehigh Structural Steel for 18 years and then Alstom Steel for 15 years, where he eventually retired. He was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allentown. A note from his wife: Charles was and will always be the love of my life.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of almost 64 years, Patricia (Beehrle) Zimmerman of Whitehall; brother, John of Whitehall; and three nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in 2023 by his loving son, Charles R. Zimmerman, Jr.
