Catherine M. Scheirer, 92, passed away Tues. at her home. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late Robert Porter and Rose Ann (Gallagher). Catherine was the wife of the late Frederick G. Scheirer who passed in 1984. Catherine graduated from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing, and was employed as an R.N. for her entire career at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Nursing School Alumni, and the Catholic Nurses Guild. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors: Son, John F. of Allentown; daughters, Sister Rosemary Scheirer S.S.J. of Philadelphia, Sheila A. Demeter of Allentown; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by granddaughter Jeanmarie and great grandson Jack.
