Carol Anne Jones
Carol Anne (Kern) Jones, 70, of Center Valley, PA passed away at home on November 11, 2006, following a two-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anne (Shannon) Kern. Carol was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Limeport. On November 25, 1961, she was married to her husband of 44 years, Robert T. "Ted" Jones, Jr.
Carol was a graduate of Crosby High School in Waterbury, CT and the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She was a practicing dental hygienist for 30 years.
Following retirement, Carol volunteered for many agencies, including The Children's Garden and God's Storehouse in Columbia, SC, where she resided for 13 years with her husband Ted. She was also active in church choirs at the St. John Neumann Church in Columbia and St. Joseph's Church in Limeport. She was an active member of the Prime Time Club at St. Joseph's and a past member of the Resident's Club in Columbia.
Survivors: Husband; Son, Robert T. Jones III, husband of Cathy (Koplin) of Center Valley; Daughters, Diane Holland, wife of Gregory of Coopersburg; Megan Hummel, wife of Justin of Bloomsburg; and Lauri Jones, wife of Jeffery Boortz of Narbeth. Carol loved and enjoyed her nine grandchildren; Nicole, Emily, Dylan, Evan, Natalie, Jackson, Gabriel, Bobby and Nola.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Road, Limeport, PA.
Visitation: 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, 101B N. Main Street, Coopersburg, PA 18036 www.weberfuneralhomes.com
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Church Choir for the funding of Thanksgiving baskets, or to the Children's Garden of Columbia, SC in care of the funeral home.
Carol's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Luke's Outpatient Dialysis Center in Bethlehem for the wonderful care that she received at their facility.
