Carl "Chan" J. Albenzi, 87, of Allentown, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Carlo and Anna (Kobetich) Albenzi. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Leonore (Sagl) Albenzi.

After finishing school, Carl served in the United States Army as a Sergeant in the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Post Office. He enjoyed all sports, especially golf and bowling. To his credit, he shot a hole in one and rolled a 300 game. Carl also loved watching his grandchildren's sports games. He was also a skillful handyman; building the house he and his wife lived in.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by his children: Michael (Cyndi) of Landisville, PA, Thomas of Tucson, AZ, Susan Spitzer of Salisbury Township, Carl (Linda) of Emmaus, Carol of Macungie, Janet Farnsworth of Macungie, Anita of Allentown, and John of Center Valley; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Anna Panik.

Carl was preceded in death by his three brothers, William, Jack, and Peter.
