Betty J. Kalb-Haas A loving Mother, Grand Mother and Friend passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, on March 30 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit at the age of 82. Being very out going, Betty had a feisty outlook on life that was an inspiration to all she touched. She was born in Allentown to the late Roy F. and Sophia C. (Ashman) Dech and was predeceased by her husband Robert Ray Kalb. Betty was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1947. She was very proud of working as a Hostess for Italiano Delight Restaurant in Macungie from 1993 until this past November. Previously she had worked at La Cucina Italian Restaurant and had originally retired from Black and Decker (formerly General Electric) Survivors: Son Robert R. and wife Dee Kalb, Grand Daughters: Nicole and husband Daniel Posipanko, and Jessica and husband Nick Belt. 3 Great Grandchildren: Nicholas, Samantha, and Alexander.
