Berta Kray, 89 of Whitehall Twp., died Thursday August 13, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of the late William Kray. Born in Whitenberg, Romania she was a daughter of the late George and Rosina (Stigell) Kugele. Berta was a machine operator for the former Schneider Mgf. 28 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Allentown. She was past president of the Ladies Society of the Austrian Hungarian Veterans Society. Survivors: Daughter, Ella wife of Victor L. Harry with whom she resided; sons, Erich Makowe of Whitehall Twp. and Erwin Makowe of Allentown; sister Rebecca wife of Kurt Radel of West Germany; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
