Bernard C. Gallagher, of Whitehall, passed away on September 25 at the age of 79. Above all, Bernard was a loving and caring family man who, in 1932, was born in Allentown to the late: Edward N. and Isabel (Haney) Gallagher and has been married for 58 years to his loving wife Gloria M. (Dorshimer). Growing up, he was a 3 sport star for the Downtown Youth Center and had attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Bernard attended Allentown High School and served during the Korean War as a Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed at Cherry Point, NC and Masters Field, Fl. He was the proprietor of Gallagher Hauling Service for 25 years and retired in 2002 after 21 years of service in the maintenance dept. for the Whitehall-Coplay Middle School. He was predeceased by his brother Edward. Bernard was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and was a big sports fan for Notre Dame, the Phillies, and the Eagles Survivors: Wife Gloria, Sons: Bernard M., Patrick J. and wife Roseanne, Robert E. and wife Teresa. Grandsons: Frank and wife Erin, Daniel, Kyle, Ryan, Sean, Michael, J.P. , and Brady Gallagher and Great Grandsons: James and Shawn. Sister in Law Dolores "Dolly" Gallagher.
