Beatrice Jean Silva

Beatrice Jean Silva, 103, died on Feb. 7, 2016 at Mosser Nursing Home. Born in Cold Springs, NY, she was a daughter of Alessandro and Giuseppina (Bacigalupo) Falcioni. She was the wife of the late George J. Silva for over 49 years. Beatrice was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel/Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Allentown. She was a former owner of a world champion trotter named Silver Song and a horse breeding farm. She was a member of the Italian-American club. Beatrice enjoyed cooking, reading, and playing Pinochle. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian DellAntonia and Rena Falcioni.

Survivors: Sons, Donald and his wife Ann of AZ and Richard and his wife Jean of Macungie; Grandchildren, Michael, Peter, Steven, and Richard V. Silva and Valerie Bitzer; 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM, Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 336 N. 4th St., Allentown. Viewing: 7:00-9:00 PM, Thurs., Feb 11th at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown and 9:00 - 9:45 AM, Fri., Feb. 12th at the church. Interment in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
