Arthur R. Schaffer
Arthur R. Schaffer, 85 of Reading, passed away on February 12, in Reading Hospital. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Emily (Rapp) Schaffer. He was the husband of Shirley A. Hoffmaster Schaffer. Arthur was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Reading, he served in the Army during WWII. Arthur worked and retired from AT&T as a supervisor in 1984. He enjoyed gardening & photography.
Survivors: Wife, Sons: Dennis Schaffer and his wife Pat of Maine, Larry and his wife Sandy of California. Step-Children: Dennis and his wife Pat of Reading, Donald and his wife Mellanie of Sinking Spring, Jennifer and her husband Brian of Robesonia; Melissa of Temple and Joseph of Florida. Brother: Donald Schaffer and his wife Gerry of Hellertown. Granddaughters: Tara, Karen and Lori, 5 Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his late wife Olga Wasilow Schaffer.
