Arthur R. Potosnak, 80, passed away January 14, 2016. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Potosnak and Virginia M. (Tonkin) Potosnak. Arthur graduated from Liberty High School, Bethlehem, PA, received his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Moravian College, and his M.B.A. from Lehigh University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army at the Army Aviation Center at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Arthur worked for PPL Corporation until his retirement in 1993 and served in a number of managerial positions concluding his 32 year career as Manager of HR&D Administration. He was active in community service, as well as a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena. Following retirement, Arthur pursued his passions in travel, art, and photography. He studied painting at the Baum Art School under Dana Van Horn and won a number of awards for his watercolor and oil paintings. He was a member of the Parkland Art League.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice A. (Farnschlader) Potosnak. He and Alice had four children, Arthur (d. 2002), Linda, Karen and husband Andrew, and Christine. He is survived by his three daughters, and two grandchildren, Alex and Sophie. He is further surived by his brother Jerome Potosnak and wife Judy, and nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Mary Farnschlader, and brother-in-law Jim Farnschlader. He was predeceased by brother-in-law Frank Farnschlader.
Services: Viewing Tuesday, January 19, from 9:00-10:00am at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, at the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, 1825 W. Chew St., Allentown.
