Arthur H. Fischer, 81, of Upper Saucon Twp, passed away at Valley Rehabilitaion Center, Coopersburg, on June 10, 2006. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Limeport. Arthur served his country in the Army during the Second World War and then returned home to marry Edith (Iannicelli) Fischer on May 7, 1949. Arthur was employed for 50 years as a carpenter for Chiles & Sillivan of Whitehall. He was also a lifetime member of the Upper Saucon and Coopersburg Fire Co. In his spare time Arthur enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors: Wife; Son, Arthur P. husband of Kathryn of Madison WI; daughters, Theresa wife of Ronald Lenner of Bethlehem and Marie wife of Mark Porter of Coopersburg; six grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
