Arlene Anna (Dittmar) Hess, 90, formerly of Gross Towers Allentown, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Weston Rehabilitation & Nursing Center of Hellertown. Arlene was the wife of the late Delbert Hess who passed away in 1983. Born in Allentown, Sep 27, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Jennie (Banks) Dittmar and Walter Dittmar. Before retiring, Arlene worked as a Custodian for the Salisbury School District. Arlene loved to crochet, knit, spend time with her family and go to Bingo with her friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children - Bonnie Stauffer of Greeley Colorado, Linda Wehringer (husband Bill ) of Allentown, Darlene Broadhurst (companion Richard Eck) of Bethlehem, and George Hess (wife Kathy) of Freemansburg, her grandchildren - Matthew Stauffer, Judy (Stauffer) Bernhardt, Donna (Wehringer) Docker, William Hess, Bruce Hess, Brandi (Hess) Shelby, Margie (Broadhurst) Mendoza, Dale Broadhurst , Jennifer (Hess) Krotzer, and Nicole (Hess) Kline, along with 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is also survived by her sister Grace Klepeis of Hilton NY and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Arlene was predeceased by sisters June Lenhart and Pauline Morris, son- Bruce Hess, son in law - Ronald Stauffer, and Grandsons - Michael Stauffer and William Broadhurst.

Services: A viewing will be held Wednesday Jan 7, from 7-9 pm and 10 am Thursday Jan 8 prior to the funeral services at 11 am all at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St, Allentown PA. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Airport Rd, Allentown
