Anthony Edward Borillo

Anthony Edward "Tony" Borillo, 97, of Allentown, passed away on July 24, 2013. Born in Allentown on April 27, 1916, he was a son of the late Donato and Mary (Longo) Borillo. Anthony was the loving husband of Diana (Carlini) Borillo for 74 years. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Tony received an honorary Bachelors of Arts degree from Muhlenberg College in 1998. He worked as a barber in Allentown for 76 years, 59 of them in the basement of the Campus Shop at 23rd & Liberty streets. Tony was an active member and handball player at the Allentown JCC.

Survivors: Wife, Diana; Daughter, Sandra, wife of James Sorensen of Allentown; Son, Joseph Borillo of Malvern; Brother, Edward Borillo; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers Angelo and Joseph.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM, Tues., July 30, 2013 at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church, 1825 W. Turner St., Allentown.
