Anthony John Goldman, 87, formerly of Vera Cruz, died Friday March 31 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Twp. He was the husband of Alfreda M. (Taverna) Goldman with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage until her death in October 12, 2000. Anthony was a machinist for Mack Truck for many years before his retirement. He was a corporal in the US Army serving with the 570th Field Artillery Battalion in the Philippines during WWII. Survivors: Stepsons, Angelo Chiaradia of Macungie and Paul Chiaradia of Allentown; Stepdaughter, Alfreda "Freda" Linde of Macungie; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
