Anna J. Nacci
Anna Josephine Nacci, 93, of Allentown, died peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2009 in the Hospice Unit of the Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Allentown on April 20, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Louise (Moccio) Pagnano. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Nacci for 48 years until his death in 1985. She was a life long member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Allentown. She and her husband owned and operated Nacci's Italian Market on Ridge Avenue in Allentown for 38 years, until she closed it in 1988. This store became a popular place for friends and neighbor's, especially on Friday when all lined up to buy Malones Pizza, and visit with Anna and Sal. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Pasquale and Anthony, and four sisters, Gilda, Josephine, Teresa, and Mary.
Survivors: Sons, Anthony "Tony" of Maryland, Francis "Frank", husband of Carole of Whitehall, and Salvatore "Sal", husband of Karen of Allentown; Daughter, Anita McGinley of Macungie; Grandchildren, Anthony of Maryland, Robin Fatzinger of Gilbertsville, Penny Nacci of Whitehall, Wendi Thomas of Whitehall, Sal Nacci, Jr. with the United States Navy in Virginia, Angela Nacci of Allentown, AnnMargaret Vanauken of State College, Mark McGinley of South Carolina, Patti Miller of Macungie, and Debbie Carter of Alabama; 17 Great Grandchildren; and one Great-Great Granddaughter.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 A.M. Wed., April 1, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown.
