Angelo L. Badesso, 103, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Virginio and Candida (Spironello) Badesso. Angelo was preceded in passing by his loving wife, Clara Badesso.

As a child, Angelo and his family moved to Robegano, Italy where he was raised before returning to Allentown. Afterwards, he served our country during World War II in the Army. He worked as a plumber and foreman for over 30 years at Funari & Brogna and Edgar Zamprina. He was currently the oldest living member of the Plumbers Local 690 union, being a member for 73 years. He was also a member of the Northern Italian Club and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In his spare time, he loved bowling, gardening, fishing, and hunting. Angelo had also received a letter from our President congratulating him on becoming a centennial 3 years ago.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons: Richard J. Badesso and his wife, Eileen E., Stephen J. Badesso and his late wife, Carol, Dennis J. Badesso, and Gerald J. Badesso and his wife, Kim. He is also survived by his caretaker, Christiane.

A viewing will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 9AM until the mass of Christian burial at 10AM, all at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1046 W Cedar St, Allentown, PA 18102. Burial with military honors to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angelo's name to the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Sanctuary Memorial Fund.
