Andrew J. Bednar, 87, died November 2, 2018. He is survived by his wife Regina Bednar, formerly Maciejewski. Born in Dunmore, PA he was the son of the late Anna (Hirko) Bednar and John Bednar.

He was a graduate of Dunmore High School Class of 1948, Johnson Trade School, and the University of Scranton, class of 1969. He was a Navy veteran, serving on the USS Vulcan, and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 528, and St. Catharine of Siena. He worked for Scranton Electric Company and PP&L for 42 years. He loved bowling and golfing.

Also surviving are a daughter, Susanne husband Curt Williams; sons Michael, Paul, wife Rose, and son Robert, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1030am on Saturday, November 10th, 2018. Calling hours will be held from 930am until the time of service, all at Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena 1825 W. Turner Street Allentown, PA 18104. Graveside will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Andrew's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
