Allen P. Strella, 81 of Allentown, PA passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home. He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Neubauer) Strella. They were Married April 24, 1965, and would have celebrated 59 years of marriage on April 24, 2024. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Allen E. Strella, and Armeda (Micco) Strella.

He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. He was a United States Army veteran. Allen worked at Lehigh Structural Steel as a welder. He then worked at Cedarbrook Nursing Home as a maintenance worker. After retiring in 2009, he became a crossing guard for Allentown School District.

Allen enjoyed fishing, dancing with Kathleen at Castle Rock and attending the Italian Club, spending time with his family, watching the Phillies and Eagles, and going to Disney World with his family.

Allen leaves behind three sons: Timothy Strella, husband of Jill (Remer) Strella, Chris Strella, husband of Julie (Epting) Strella, and Jonathan Strella, husband of Shannon (Haberstumpf) Strella; six grandchildren: Lauren, Cody, Dante, Dylan, Colin, and Nicole, and four great grandchildren: Olivia, Alex, Ava, and A'marei and his canine companion, Oscar. Allen is also survived by two sisters: Gloria (Strella) Andrews, and Betty (Strella) Wilson. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, services will be private by the graveside. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Allentown Animal Clinic.
