Williams
August 6, 1925 – January 20, 2018
Alice "Babs" Williams, of Allentown, passed away on January 20
th
at the age of 92. She was born in Allentown to the late James and Alice Mulqueen and was predeceased by her son Howard M. Williams Jr. and her daughter Susan Williams. Babs was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic, class of 1944, and then attended Moore Institute of Art, in Philadelphia, enabling her to use her artistic abilities to travel throughout the US selling her decoupage to many art dealers. She was a former chair person for the United Fund charities and later volunteered at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Babs and her husband owned and operated the former Frear's Department Store, in New York State. Babs had accomplished many things such as modeling at Hess's Department Store, learning French while living abroad in France, during the mid-1990's, being an avid skier, until the age of 88, and was seen on her Razor Scooter. She was a former member of Lehigh and Schuyler Meadows Country Clubs.
Survivors
: She is survived by her eldest daughter Christina Donato and husband Edward of South Carolina, eldest son Peter and wife Linnae of Florida, son Timothy and wife Judy of North Carolina, youngest son Andrew and wife Darla of Allentown, daughter in law Vicky Williams of North Carolina. 10 Grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Former daughter in laws: Susan and Diane Williams.
Services: A viewing will be held on Friday January 26 th at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton Street in Allentown from 7:00-9:00PM and on Saturday January 27 th a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Siena, 1825 Turner Street in Allentown.
In memory of Babs, her family requests that white and lilac floral arrangements be sent to the funeral home.
