Alice Bensel
Alice Bensel, 93, of Luther Crest Retirement Community, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ, died June 10, 2006 in St. Luke's VNA Hospice, Bethlehem. She was wife of the late Charles E. Bensel. Born in New York, NY; she was a daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Kunze. She attended Hunter College. Alice was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church, Ridgewood, NJ. For 35 years, she was a volunteer for the American Red Cross/Ridgewood Chapter where she brailed books for the Library of Congress.
Survivors: Alice will be missed by her loving family, Daughter, Jane, wife of Bill Trotter of Bethlehem; Son, Paul Bensel husband of Carolyn of Florida; Grandchildren, Christie Post, Andrew Trotter, Julie Bensel, Melissa Bensel, and Tracey Lavin; Great grandchildren, Evan Post, Mark Bensel, Courtney Lavin, and Darren Lavin, Jr.
