Alfred H. Kurtz, 94, a resident of Country Meadows of Allentown, died Monday May 5, 2008 in Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Lillian Miriam (Rex) Kurtz for 54 years before her death April 1, 1991. Born September 4, 1913 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Julia (Freismuth) Kurtz. He was employed by Gulf Oil Corp. at the Catasauqua terminal for 28 years before retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church of Allentown. Survivors: He will be missed by his family including daughter, Miriam "Mitzi" wife of Joseph Addabbo of Schnecksville; granddaughter Diane Addabbo of Rochester, NY; grandson, Michael and wife Monica Addabbo and great-granddaughter Lillian Diane Addabbo of Los Angeles, CA; nieces and nephews. Alfred and his late wife enjoyed traveling, driving to almost every state and visiting many national parks. They also visited Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, Brazil and enjoyed many cruises.
