Aleida "Tita" Sotolongo, loving sister, aunt and great aunt, 92, of Reading passed away August 19, 2014. Born August 21, 1921 in Havana Cuba, she was the daughter of Armando and Paulina Sotolongo. A gifted seamstress, Tita enjoyed making clothing, baby blankets and other keepsakes for her family and loved ones. Often thinking of the well-being of others, she regularly sent much needed items to family members still living in Cuba and gave to several charities, especially those benefiting children. She enjoyed frequent travels to Florida to visit relatives and to go on sightseeing adventures.
Tita is survived by her brother Mario Sotolongo of Reading and two nephews Carlos Sotolongo of Reading and Julio Sotolongo of Florida. Also surviving are her grandnieces: Marisa Sotolongo, Alexa Sotolongo and Nina Sotolongo. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Lidia Sotolongo.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 28th at 10:30 am at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd, Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
