Ada Elba Reyes, 91 of Allentown passed away with her family by her side on October 25, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late Jose Natividad Reyes and Flora Diaz from Orocovis, Puerto Rico.

After graduating from high school in P.R. she moved to Allentown, PA and started working as a seamstress.  Ada also worked for the Allentown Boy's and Girl's Club on Susquehanna Street, where she was known by many as "Abuela" by the kids that she adored.

Ada was a wonderful person, an awesome mother and loving "Abuela".  She is survived by her children, Pablo (Pepe) Melendez, Carmen and Husband, Gustavo Espinoza, Wanda and Husband Will Schmidt, Elba and Husband Ferdinand Oquendo, Mirna and Husband, John Ortiz, Grandchildren, Mida Melendez, Hector Melendez, Ferdinand (Coquito) Oquendo, Crystal Oquendo, Emanuel Cardinalez, John (J.J.) Ortiz Jr., Justin Ortiz, and Amanda Ortiz, and 5 great grandchildren.

Services: Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Weber Funeral Home located at 1619 Hamilton Street, Allentown PA 18102, from 10:30 AM until the service at 12PM; burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery located at 547 North Krocks Road, Allentown PA 18106, gathering to follow immediately after the burial at East Allentown Fire Company located at 405 East Walnut Street, Allentown PA 18109.
